Public Preview of MSDYN365BC 2019 Release Wave 2
The first public preview of Release Wave 2 was released (Platform 15). The main purpose and core DOGMA of this new release is: “AL only“, also you will never find CSIDE, C/AL and Windows Client support from now ! “Microsoft AL and Web Client Only!”
Welcome to “AL Only world“
Now you can find two Microsoft’s extensions:
- BaseApp (version 15.0.0.0)
- System Application (version 1.0.0.0)
All the new extensions that you will create must be “dependent” from these Microsoft’s apps, you need to declare these dependencies (System Application and BaseApp) in the app.json file.

The image tag for the preview images are:
bcinsider.azurecr.io/bcsandbox-master:<country>-<platform>
where <country> is the country code for the localization you need and <platform> is either ltsc2016 (for Windows Server 2016 or Windows 10 pre-1809) or ltsc2019 (for Windows Server 2019 or Windows 10 1809 or later).
